“Don’t Follow Mediocres” Owie Abutu Tells Youth

By Chrisray Awodi -Owie Abutu, a popular gospel music singer has tasked youths on personal development and responsibilities, saying it’s the basis for a better tomorrow and generation.

Owie Abutu gave the charge during his annual music concert, “Psalms Alive” which holds every 1st October.

This year’s Psalms Alive had in attendance a great number of youths, men and woman, and music ministers from around Nigeria. Some of the gospel musicians who graced the occasion include; Chris Morgan, Emmasings, Oche Jonkings, Alpha, Felix Abdul, Kole Williams (again oo), Monica Ogah amongst many others.

Owie Abutu noted that the next generation of people will suffer because of the way the youths are living their lives today.

“The next generation of people will suffer because of the way our youths are living today. Many youths are becoming mediocre because they find themselves in the company of mediocre”.

Owie further stated the dangers associated with social vices saying they prevent us from achieving our goals in life.

“Many youths today are given to drug, cultism and prostitution, any youth who wants the best of the future should desist from such acts”.

In a separate remark, Oche Jonkings encouraged the participants who were mostly youths, to look up to God in all they do, it doesn’t matter the rejection, nor the seemingly impossible situations they find themselves, and that God will always be there to provide succour.

In another remark, the wife of the general overseer of Fountain of Living Waters Otukpo, Pastor Mrs Ochingele says that the revival everyone wants is here, and that what remains now is to plug in, get connected and tap from the flowing revival that’s already flowing.

Owie Abutu thanked everyone who made it to Psalms Alive 2018 and prayed God to keep everyone to see Psalms Alive 2019.
